Visiting college campuses provides an opportunity for students and their families to learn about different kinds of colleges and universities. Families should try to see a variety of schools as this will help students articulate their individual search criteria. While visiting campuses, talk to as many people as possible. This includes admissions representatives, current students, professors, and any other community members that may be a resource (i.e. coaches or financial aid officials). Visiting colleges will help students identify college settings that are the best places for them. This document will help you learn how to prepare for these visits.
